About Us

Gotandafilm is an ongoing collaboration between award winning filmmakers Alessandro Cassigoli and Dalia Castel.

We started working together full time in 2004 when we produced, filmed and edited our award winning documentary Good Times. So far, Good Times has participated in more than 28 international film festivals and won 12 prizes, amongst them Dok Leipzig, DocumentaMadrid and the Grand Jury Award for Best Short Documentary at Full Frame Festival in the United States.

In 2005 we obtained the Nipkow Fellowship in Berlin, which allowed us to develop our project, Almost Paradise. Ever since receiving the fellowship, we have been based in Berlin.

In 2006 we made a short documentary called Relatively Free which won the International Documentary Challenge, a timed filmmaking competition.

Since 2007 we have started to direct and edit documentaries for the program 360º GEO, produced by Medienkontor and the “arte”.
